This airport operates chartered unscheduled flights for state capital Patna and nearby Kolkata, largest city cum capital of the neighboring state West Bengal. Spirit Air Private Limited and Door to Door Services Limited (DTDS) operate their non-scheduled flight services on Patna-Purnea and Purnea-Calcutta routes. The flights are twice a week to Kolkata and Patna.
